Iris Fold Every Day Cards Saturday, September 15, 2018, 10 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
In part 4, participants will again create cards using the Iris Fold technique. Using kits prepared by the instructor, students will make 3 cards from a selection of new designs for every day use. A variety of colours and patterns will be available. The kits include all the materials needed to complete the cards: pattern, template for future projects, paper strips and embellishments. While scissors are provided, you are welcome to bring a favourite pair from home.
Iris Fold Holiday Cards Saturday, November 10, 2018, 10 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Using the Iris Fold techniques used in previous workshops, participants will make 3 cards with holiday motifs. A new variety of designs, colours and patterns will be available in pre-made kits. All instructions, templates and patterns are provided so participants can create more cards at home. Kits include all materials required to complete each card including embellishments. While scissors are provided, you are welcome to bring a favourite pair from home.
More Holiday Cookies Saturday, December 1, 2018, 10 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
During any holiday season, home baked cookies are a delight to serve and enjoy. In this workshop participants will prepare three recipes each yielding at least two dozen cookies per recipe. After the recipes are demonstrated, participants will prepare the doughs for baking at home. They can also be frozen for future use.
Butter is used in all recipes but shortening or margarine can be substituted although the flavour will be different. Please indicate a preference when registering.
All ingredients, recipes and instruction are provided. Participants are asked to bring equipment from home and a list will be provided on registration. If participants are unsure about the kind of equipment required or do not currently own the item, extra equipment is available for use in class.
